SharePoint Online is Microsoft's cloud-hosted version of SharePoint in Office 365. It provides many of the same features as the on-premise SharePoint product, like team sites and document libraries and integrates with other Office 365 apps and services such as Planner, Teams, OneNote, and Stream. SharePoint is a platform that can be used to develop Intranets, Extranets, Collaboration Portals, Websites, and Applications.
